This document incorporates the paper presented to the European Commission by Jean-Yves Camus, and the panel discussion that accompanied its presentation. It addresses the appearance of racist, antisemitic and xenophobic discourse within the context of European and national elections of the last few years. The rhetoric used by far right and mainstream political parties are considered, as is the importing of the Arab-Israeli conflict into national political debates.
