Popular Potential – The Extreme Right and Germany
Gudrun Hentges (2003). Stephen Roth Institute for the Study of Contemporary Antisemitism and Racism.
The article considers the attempts by the extreme right in Germany to present itself as a progressive pro-peace movement. Attempts by specific groups to ally themselves with the anti-Iraq war movement is seen as linked to evidence of antisemitism, anti-Americanism and anti-globalisation on the far right. Co-operation between the extreme right and some Islamic organisations is further seen to show attempts to spread antisemitic ideas across the political and cultural spectrum.
